Every act of support—whether it’s volunteering your time, making a donation, or simply spreading the word—helps break down barriers and create a more inclusive society for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
At Special Olympics Sri Lanka, your involvement goes far beyond supporting sports. It transforms lives. Your time, generosity, and commitment provide athletes with the opportunity to discover their unique talents, find their voice, build lasting friendships, and compete with pride. Each training session and event becomes a platform for personal growth, where athletes gain confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose.
By getting involved, you become part of a global movement built on dignity, respect, and inclusion. You help create a world where individuals are celebrated for their abilities, not judged by their disabilities. Together, we can ensure that every athlete is seen, heard, and valued—on the playing field and beyond.

Coaches are the driving force behind every Special Olympics athlete’s success. They don’t just teach sports skills — they inspire confidence, build character, and foster inclusion. As a coach, you become a mentor, a leader, and a friend to individuals with intellectual disabilities who are striving to be their best, both on and off the field.
Special Olympics Sri Lanka welcomes coaches from all backgrounds. Whether you’re an experienced trainer, a PE teacher, a university student, or simply someone who loves sport and inclusion, you can make a lasting impact. Our coaching roles are volunteer-based, and full training and resources are provided — so no prior experience with people with disabilities is necessary.
