About us

Upholding Justice and the Rule of Law
with Profound Experience & Integrity.

The High Courts of the Provinces are established under the Constitution of Sri Lanka to serve as the primary judicial authority within each province. The designation of the High Court is structured to exercise both original and appellate jurisdiction, determining a broad spectrum of significant civil and criminal matters. For administrative convenience and the efficient delivery of justice, High Court Judges are assigned to designated provincial zones. This decentralized approach is supported by established Registries across the provinces, facilitating the effective management and handling of diverse legal proceedings.
